1 What do you think is Tim Burton’s signature that runs through his works?
2 Do you think that there are many horror themes running through his work? Specify.
3 Do you think his continual uses of horror elements are important in defying him as an auteur and who he is as a film maker?
try and think up some good long answers for those who are interested ;)

The link above is a site about how Tim Burton was influenced by 'Gothic' and 'German Expressionist ' pictures and movies. It speaks about how the short movie Vincent reflects the clearest and most extreme example of this style.
"Burton's other films are a combination of this gothic expressionism on the one hand, and cartoonish, bright colors on the other."

This quote from the site links in with Edward Scissorhands.
The "Pastel Suburbia" town where the story is set contrasts with the gothic mansion where Edward lives and where we meet and leave him in, in the film.
This shows the difference of each world in just one town.

ok
Ive posted 3 videos that make up Tim Burton's short film, "Frankenweenie", Tim Burton's doggy version of Frankenstein. By using a dog we see Tim Burton's repetation of using dead dogs in his films. And it also shows his love for a classic horror, and Hammer Horror films, by re-creating them and giving them a twist.
right
